The year 2006 was a year of growth and change as Eric and Debra produced their first traveling marionette shows and performed in a library, an elementary school, and at Town Hall during Talbot's First Night Celebration. They also traveled to a regional puppeteers festival in Asheville, NC.

July 2006	Debra and Eric attended the East Coast SuperSonic Puppet Festival in Asheville, NC

This was Dragon Wings' 10th and final year
at the Colorado Renaissance Festival

May 2006	Easton Elementary School Performances
We did two performances of The Three Billy Goats Gruff and Butterflies Don't Bark at Easton Elementary School and one performance at a birthday party for Max.

Apr 2006	Our first major marionette performance St. Michaels Library
On April 17 Debra and Eric performed two puppet shows at the St. Michaels (Maryland) Public Library. All of the puppets, scenery, and theater were built by Eric and Debra. Their daughter, Liv, painted the scenery on the backdrop. A visiting artist friend from Russia, Tatiana Anikina, painted the landscape and clouds on the theater's side walls and front top. The first story was from a children's book written and narrated by local author Sue Loweree and entitled "Butterflies Don't Bark" and the second story was our new version of "The Three Billy Goats Gruff".

Mar 2006	Eric and Debra built a dog, troll, butterfly, and 3 goat marionettes

Pictured above is the troll from the Three Billy Goats Gruff before fur was added and after. Debra sculpted the head and hands, Eric built the body. The largest Billy Goat Gruff (below) was carved from wood by Eric. Debra sculpted over the Dylite ball to complete the goat's head.

Feb 2006	Exhibit at Historical Society of Talbot County
Exhibit of the craft of Easton, Maryland artists Debra Hathaway and Eric Heath. On display were seven dolls and eight marionette puppets.
