This style of hat was worn by women ale brewers during the Renaissance era. It is said that male brewers were not happy about the competition, and accused the women of selling a tainted brew, calling them witches.
Debra redesigned the style by giving the brim a fedora curve, and by sweeping the pointed crown to the back, giving it more flare.
This hat is built with a elastic cord which stretches comfortably behind the head keeping the hat firmly on, even in the strongest of wind.
Each hat comes with a removable/repositionable feather hat pin embellished with wooden acorns and oak leaves made of felt and leather.
